The Burnham

The watch that started it all for us - the Burnham is a 42mm, automatic mechanical watch with a date at 6 o'clock.

"MAKE NO LITTLE PLANS; they have no power to stir men's blood..."

The Burnham was inspired by architect Daniel Burnham, city planner of our hometown, Chicago, and a nod to Chase’s own father who always remarked about the beauty in the layout of Chicago’s streets and the aesthetics of New York City’s Flat Iron building.

bespoke numeral design

Countless hours spent tweaking and fine tuning every detail to ensure a truly unique style. From the hash on the numeral 7 to custom color-match date wheel, every detail was considered.

THe eclipse

The counter balance on the orange central seconds hand resembled the "barrel" mark in our logo. We were careful to line it up so that it would perfectly "eclipse" the printed logo on the dial. A small detail that has a large impact.

The Movement

The exceptional Soprod caliber A-10 movement powers the Burnham. The 25-jewel, Swiss movement has a 42 hour power reserve and a custom rotor design that helps keep your watch running strong. Soprod has been around since 1966 and has proven themselves as one of the best movement manufacturers out there.

Packaging With Purpose

We don't like watch boxes. They're expensive, wasteful and end up in a closet.

Each Burnham includes a matching leather watch wallet made by Defy Mfg Co., a local Chicago bag, apparel and accessory shop. Buttery Horween leather, the same leather used for the watch strap, is combined with the soft, protective 100% wool felt from Germany to hold a total of four watches, an extra strap and strap tool in a compact, flat, portfolio-style case perfect for traveling and displaying one’s collection at the ever-popular watch meet-ups.
